Winners of the Cheshire North Wales & Shropshire retriever and spaniel society Open Retriever Stake

Trophy presented by H Reginald Cooke Esq

HELP SOUGHT TO SOLVE OUR PUZZLE!

The beautiful trophy in the photo, awarded to the winner of our two day Open Retriever Trial has been restored, cleaned and had a new box lovingly made to keep it safe ready to award to the winner of this year’s Open Trial.

This trophy has been awarded annually since 1923, with a break during the war years. The winners read like a Who’s Who of Gundog breeding and handling. Click on the link below “Previous Winners Document” to read these legendary names.

Previous Winners Document

There is one winner missing.

The winner in 2007 is not on the trophy and the Society has no record of who won The Cheshire North Wales and Shropshire Retriever and Spaniel Society Open Trial in 2007.

Can anyone out there help us to solve this puzzle and restore the continuity of our records? We would really like to hear from you!

Please email our Field Trial Secretary

Nicola Reynolds dr.nicola@btinternet.com

Or our Chairman John Yarwood moomoodoctor@btinternet.com

If you have any information that will help us complete the records. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
